upcoming gigs

Hi, guys!

March is bringing a triple dose of The SPiTEFUL's live performances!

24th and 26th, we welcome W.A.K.O. to Rastilho Metal Records and will be assuming the first part of their "The Road of Awareness" album presentation gigs. They'll take place in Santiago Alquimista, in Lisbon and Alfa Bar in Maceira, Leiria, respectively. Our friends A Last Day On Earth are also part of this party, as they'll be promoting their prety recent "Between Mirrors and Portraits".

March 27th, we'll be welcoming the germans guys from Contradiction and their Live Devastation Tour. It'll be a really heavy late Sunday afternoon. We're hoping you can fight the hangover e show at the gig full of power, so that these gentlemen with their 20+ years career feel just like at home. Ovelha Negra, in Marinha Grande, at 18h00.

back from the fiesta!

Hi, there!

And we're back to the rehearsal room after one hell of a party with our spanish friends, in Burgos. Let me tell you something: these guys know how to rock and enjoy themselves and we were lucky enough to share some great moments with them.

Great night, with a fantastic crowd, and lots and lots of power!

Thanks a lot to Rubén and all the team at Hangar CCM, to our new friends in Sexma and Automotive (great bands) and all the metal people that came out to support us.
Hope to see you again soon!

Here are some SPiTEFUL photos from burgos....

Heavy 2011

Hi, guys!

2011 is here and The SPiTEFUL predict this to be a really heavy and brutal year ! We'll continue to play live with our Persuasion Through Touring and have a few surprises coming later this year.

........................................................

We'll start big in 2011, with another international gig. This January 15th we'll head to Burgos, in Spain, to headline Hangar Metal Fest. It'll be a party night with our spanish friends and we wanna make sure that it will be a while until nuestros hermanos forget what portuguese metal is about!!

........................................................

Great metal parties were also the nights we shared the stage with our brothers in Mindlock. Persuading The Enemy was the name of the 3 gig mini-tour these two Rastilho Metal Records bands went on. Mindlock, who are currently promoting their excellent new album Enemy of Silence, joined forces with The SPiTEFUL, who continue to present their Persuasion Through Persistence and together we had some wild and unforgettable nights, with some minor setbacks on the way (that's the way it is) but always with a lot of energy and attitude. Together we tore down some stages (and livers) throughout this country and the audience had some crazy fun with us. With these guys it's a pleasure to be on the road and we're hoping to repeat the experience really soon. That's your opportunity to come out and jam with us!

enemy of silence

One can expect a great metal night, June 18th, at Alfa Bar. From Algarve, south Portugal, comes Mindlock, fully armed to present their new album Enemy of Silence, released by Rastilho Metal Records. The SPiTEFUL and Switchtense join the party and welcome their new label mates. Rastilho's metal family keeps growing: in number, heavyness and quality.

It's gonna be a hard as hell party throughout the night: to meet again our friends in Switchtense - no matter how many times we share the stage with these guys is never too much - and have a chance to drink some cold ones with the Mindlock bunch. Last time we played together it was in a little club in Espinho, near Oporto, a long, long time ago (was it 2001? 2003?). Memories are like that... with time they become vague, blurry. Specially after an entire afternoon drinking beer in a seafront.

Come by and rock 'n roll with us!

The Persuasion Through Polska Tour, will see The SPiTEFUL take on Varsaw and Krakow's metal clubs, from June 23rd to June 27th, having as guests some of the most renowned polish underground bands.

black box photos - slight return

Hey there!

Here's a re-post of the Black Box Experience photos slideshow, since Rui Miguel Pedrosa has kindly provided us with some new photos, which we used to update the slideshow.

Rock on!

Crow Fest IV

Guess we're not stopping... In fact, we're just warming up.

Make shure to show up next saturday for a no holds barred drinking, moshing and ass-kicking get-together.

The Black Box Experience photos

What a great night!

An excelent venue with killer sound and an unforgettable performance.
Thanks to everyone for showing up on a thursday night and for being so supportive, thanks to Raven Soul and to all the people in Teatro José Lúcio da Silva who made this gig possible and allowed to have a FUCKIN' ball.

Hope all of you enjoyed the evening... cause we sure as hell did!

Down here you can catch a glimpse of The Black Box Experience, thanks to tz.santos and Helder Casimiro, who were kind enough to share their photos.

100% pure thrash metal

Bar Alfa welcomes back The SPiTEFUL for an old school portuguese Thrash night... Our comrades in Revolution Within are coming over to Leiria to introduce their debut album "Collision" and invited Pitch Black to complete what will surely be one hell of a night with no brick over brick remaining.

Our job will be to begin the hostilities and warm up the mosh pit. And we'll do it the only way we know: hard and heavy.

To start at 23h00, that's one night you don't wanna miss. See you there.

black box experience

Celebrating its 44th anniversary, the José Lúcio da Silva Theatre is promoting The Black Box Experience. Although this is not a venue with regular alternative programming, this event will break that barrier, providing the possibility for an onstage audience, in a blackbox-like environment to experience up-close the performance of The SPiTEFUL and Raven Soul.

It'll be a one of a kind and memorable show and we're counting on your support so that this can be just the first of many events of this sort, using one of the best cultural infrastructures in Leiria.

Here are some photos from our last show with A Last Day on Earth and Fried Chicken And Gasoline. It was a great night with lots of people showing up and showing their support for the local metal/rock scene... Thanks a bunch, everyone!

back in town

Hey there!

The SPiTEFUL are playing once again in their neighbourhood...

December 19th, @ C.R. Lis e Lena, Moinhos da Barosa, Leiria, we'll be sharing the stage with headliners A Last Day On Earth and Fried Chicken And Gasoline.

This is one of those venues that bring back a lot of memories from times long gone in Leiria's metal scene... So either if you're into deluding yourself that you're once again 16 or if you're really 16 and don't have the faintest idea of what I'm talking about, get your moshing shoes on and come by... We promise the music will be loud and the beer will be fresh.

Metalpoint kicks ass!

Damn! Past saturday gig did kick ass! Five years after our last show in (O)Porto, this one definitely set things straight about that audience. They're no doubt nasty, insane motherfuckers! Great show with great people and great bands to share the stage with. Thanks a lot to all those who came out to support us and also to our friends in Coldfear, Echidna and Revolution Within.

We did manage to capture some footage from that show, so, here's the proof that it was one rock hard night.. In our youtube page you'll find some more videos from that show and also the closing song on our good friends Coldfear performance.

rastilho metal night IV

That's right! It's gonna be one of THOSE nights!

RMN3

switchtense + echidna + the spiteful = one killer metal night!!

to everyone who attended, major kudos and a roaring ‘FUCK YEAH’ with beers all ‘round is in order, to everyone one else, a roaring ‘FUCK YE’ nonetheless, minus the kudos (‘cause y’all suck and will live miserable meaningless lives! – unless you manage to muster enough balls to show up to the next gig! ;))

rastilho metal night III

The SPiTEFUL live!

To promote their latest release, Persuasion Through Persistence, The SPiTEFUL will be performing live in several venues, either headlining or sharing the stage with other Rastilho Records' bands: Echidna and Switchtense.

Check this blog, The SPiTEFUL's myspace page or ptmusic.net, for all the updated information on those gigs.

persuasive persistence concert

So, after the massive headbanging, hardcore slamming, ear-piercing, body-thrashing, rocknrolla night that was Persuasion Through Persistence presentation gig and release party here are some photos of the catastrophe.
